Sea Containers London is launching Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers on the South Bank, offering elevated British dining with panoramic river views. We are seeking a Senior Sous Chef to lead the kitchen, shape the brigade and ensure outstanding food quality and service from day one.

You will partner with the Head Chef to drive menu development, uphold safety standards and build a high-performing, collaborative kitchen culture for long-term success.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a high-volume environment.
• Proven ability to coach and develop junior chefs and kitchen leaders.
• Strong focus on food quality, consistency and service standards.

Responsabilités

• Work in close partnership with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen operation, ensuring smooth, efficient and consistent delivery across all services.
• Take a leading role in managing the brigade, setting clear expectations and maintaining exceptional standards under pressure.
• Oversee food preparation, quality, presentation and consistency, ensuring every dish meets the restaurant's standards.
• Contribute to menu development and implementation, championing seasonality, exceptional British produce and culinary creativity.
• Coach, mentor and develop junior chefs and kitchen leaders, building a strong team culture and supporting career progression.
• Drive effective communication and collaboration across all kitchen sections and with the wider Food & Beverage team.
• Take ownership of stock management, ordering, waste reduction and kitchen costs, supporting strong financial performance.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety and company standards, leading by example at all times.
• Support recruitment, training and development to build a talented and motivated kitchen brigade.
• Contribute to the pre-opening and launch of Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers, helping establish the operational standards and culture for long-term success.
• Step into the Head Chef's responsibilities when required, ensuring continuity of leadership and operational excellence.
