Job summary

Sea Containers London is opening Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers, a new dining destination on the South Bank. The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef, lead the kitchen during service, and help shape standards and culture for a successful launch.

You will develop menus, coach junior chefs, manage costs, and ensure food safety and high presentation standards across all sections, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
• Lead and motivate the kitchen brigade during service.
• Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, preparation, presentation and hygiene.
• Support menu development and implementation with a focus on seasonality and quality ingredients.
• Ensure excellent communication between all kitchen sections and the wider Food & Beverage team.
• Coach, develop and inspire junior chefs, helping them build their skills and careers.
• Monitor stock, waste, ordering and kitchen costs to support financial management.
• Ensure all food safety, health & safety and company standards are followed.
• Contribute to the pre-opening and launch of Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers.
