Job summary

Sea Containers London is launching Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers, a new dining destination on the River Thames in London’s South Bank. We are seeking a Senior Sous Chef to lead the kitchen operations, collaborate with the Head Chef, drive exceptional standards and mentor a high-performing brigade.

You will contribute to menu development, kitchen culture, and the pre-opening process to set operational standards for long-term success.

Qualifications

• Experience in culinary leadership at a senior level.
• Strong focus on food quality, consistency and service.
• Ability to coach and develop junior chefs and kitchen leaders.
• Experience in pre-opening environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure high standards.
• Manage brigade, set expectations and maintain quality under pressure.
• Oversee food preparation, plating, presentation and consistency.
• Contribute to menu development and seasonal offerings.
• Coach and develop kitchen staff and foster a positive culture.
• Control stock, ordering, waste reduction and kitchen costs.
• Ensure food safety and health & safety compliance.
• Support recruitment and pre-opening activities.
