Senior Sous Chef | Full Time

The role:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team, drive restaurant performance, and ensure excellent results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating a positive environment where your team feels cared for and supported, celebrating successes, nurturing talent, and role modeling a coaching culture.
  • Ensuring an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation and team skills.
  • Maintaining spotless food, health, and safety standards, and understanding kitchen financials including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs.
  • Building a coaching culture, working with the Head Chef on recruitment and development, and fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Being a forward-thinking problem solver, able to make quick decisions.

What we look for:

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with genuine care and consideration.
  • Experience maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Understanding of kitchen financials, including GP and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labor costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage teams.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and they belong.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
