Job summary

Peach Pubs is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our kitchen and work closely with the Head Chef to drive day-to-day operations. You’ll lead the team through busy services, ensuring top quality, pace and presentation of dishes.

You’ll coach junior chefs, manage prep and stock, and help shape seasonal menus with fresh, well-sourced ingredients. The role is ideal for someone with a passion for proper pub classics, a calm and organised approach, and a drive to develop people in a welcoming,

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong track record delivering fresh, high-quality pub dishes.
• Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and cover in their absence.
• Lead services, ensuring quality, pace and presentation remain high.
• Prepare, cook and present Peach-standard dishes.
• Coach and develop Chef de Parties and junior staff.
• Manage prep, stock, wastage and kitchen organisation.
• Contribute ideas for seasonal dishes using quality ingredients.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to deliver consistent dishes.
