Extreme Networks, based in the UK, seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer to be the technical lead on strategic accounts across the UK & Ireland, shaping complex solutions from first conversation to close. Travel across the UK & Ireland is required.

You will mentor other SEs, enable partners, and represent Extreme in the market with an emphasis on fabric, wireless, SD-WAN, security and cloud management. A deep background in networking pre‑sales is essential.

Qualificações

• Typically 7+ years in networking pre-sales, with a record of closing large, complex deals.
• Deep knowledge of L2/3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing, fabric and overlays (SPB, VXLAN/EVPN), Wi‑Fi design and network security.
• Excellent presentation skills and strong hands‑on lab and PoC experience.
• Tenacity, ownership and a customer‑first mindset.
• Desirable: cloud‑managed networking, virtualization, SD‑WAN/SASE, automation and APIs, partner enablement, UK public sector experience or SC clearance, and Extreme certifications (welcome, not required).

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical strategy for complex deals across enterprise, public sector, healthcare, education and CNI.
• Design end-to-end solutions across fabric, wireless, SD-WAN, security and cloud management.
• Lead RFP and tender responses (including public sector frameworks), PoCs and demonstrations.
• Present with impact, from engineering teams to CIO and board level.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and partners, and advocate for them internally.
• Mentor SEs, lead partner and MSP enablement, and step up as account technical lead when needed.
