Job summary

Extreme Networks in the UK and Ireland is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to lead on strategic accounts, shaping complex solutions from first conversation to close. You will mentor other SEs, enable partners and represent Extreme in the market.

Travel is required across the UK and Ireland. You will own the technical strategy for enterprise, public sector, healthcare and education deals, design end-to-end solutions across fabric, wireless, SD-WAN, security and cloud management, and lead PoCs

Qualifications

• Typically 7+ years in networking pre-sales.
• Deep knowledge of L2/3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing, fabric and overlays (SPB, VXLAN/EVPN), Wi‑Fi design and network security.
• Excellent presentation skills and strong hands-on lab and PoC experience.
• Tenacity, ownership and a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy for complex deals across enterprise, public sector, healthcare, education and CNI.
• Design end-to-end solutions across fabric, wireless, SD-WAN, security and cloud management.
• Lead RFP and tender responses (including public sector frameworks), PoCs and demonstrations.
• Present with impact, from engineering teams to CIO and board level.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and partners, and advocate for them internally.
• Mentor SEs, lead partner and MSP enablement, and step up as account technical lead when needed.
