Job summary

Extreme Networks in the United Kingdom and Ireland seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer to act as the technical lead on strategic accounts, shaping complex solutions from first conversation to close. You will mentor other SEs, enable our partners and represent Extreme in the market.

Travel is required across the UK and Ireland, with a focus on enterprise, public sector, healthcare, education and CNI sectors. OTE is on a 70/30 split, ranging between 100–120K.

Qualifications

• Typically 7+ years in networking pre-sales, with a record of closing large, complex deals.
• Deep knowledge across L2/L3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing, fabric and overlays (SPB, VXLAN/EVPN), Wi‑Fi design and network security.
• Excellent presentation skills and strong hands-on lab and PoC experience.
• Tenacity, ownership and a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy for complex deals across enterprise, public sector, healthcare, education and CNI.
• Design end-to-end solutions across fabric, wireless, SD-WAN, security and cloud management.
• Lead RFP and tender responses (including public sector frameworks), PoCs and demonstrations.
• Present with impact, from engineering teams to CIO and board level.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and partners, and advocate for them internally.
• Mentor SEs, lead partner and MSP enablement, and step up as account technical lead when needed.
