Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer in the United Kingdom to independently lead technical engagements, owning discovery, design, and platform demonstrations.

You will build proofs‑of‑concepts, manage frontline customer relationships, and collaborate with the Account Executive on technical strategies to expand usage. You will demonstrate data engineering, analytics, and ML workloads on public clouds, and present live demos to win technical engagements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering, solutions architecture, technical pre‑sales, or hands‑on consulting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with production‑quality code; live coding required.
• Hands‑on design/implementation of data solutions on at least one cloud platform.
• Experience leading technical customer conversations and architecture reviews.
• Familiarity with data engineering, data science/ML, or SQL analytics.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead technical discovery and solution design for customer workloads.
• Build and deliver proofs‑of‑concept and live demos on the Databricks Platform.
• Own frontline technical relationships with customer engineers and data teams.
• Develop account‑level technical strategies to grow platform consumption.
• Contribute reusable technical assets to the SA community.
