Job summary

Elgin Energy is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support large-scale renewable energy projects from early development through construction and energisation. You will work within the project team, providing engineering input and managing interfaces with external contractors to ensure timely and compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering.
• 3 years’ experience in large-scale PV solar farm and BESS projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD and PVSyst; knowledge of PV development and construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support across the full project lifecycle from development to energisation.
• Manage technical interfaces with contractors and EPCs to reduce project risk.
• Review planning documents, environmental studies, and grid connection applications for technical accuracy.
• Coordinate design drawings and constraint maps, integrating planning and environmental constraints.
• Maintain risk registers and ensure EPC/ICP contract compliance in engineering solutions.
