Job description

A senior, hands-on solar electrician role with real responsibility.

This is not a repetitive install role.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior / Lead Solar PV Electrician to play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical installation, service, and maintenance work across our solar portfolio, while taking ownership of on-site standards, quality, and compliance.

The role

This is a hands-on, senior electrician position.

You’ll be directly involved in the electrical installation, servicing, and maintenance of solar PV systems, including AC-side works back to LV mains incomers. Alongside this, you’ll work closely with subcontract installation partners, helping to ensure work is carried out safely, compliantly, and to Myriad’s standards.

You will not be desk-based or purely supervisory. This role suits someone who enjoys being on site, solving problems, and taking pride in doing work properly.

The role is field-based and involves travel across England and Wales. Overnight stays will be required at times, depending on project location.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out hands-on electrical installation of solar PV systems
• Completing AC electrical works up to LV mains incomers, including distribution, protection, and testing
• Performing planned and reactive service, maintenance, and fault-finding on operational PV systems
• Supporting commissioning, testing, documentation, and handover
• Working alongside subcontract installation teams to maintain safety, quality, and compliance
• Applying practical judgement on technically varied sites with different layouts and constraints
• Completing all required certification, reporting, and documentation accurately and on time

About you

• An experienced electrician with commercial solar PV installation and/or maintenance experience
• Comfortable carrying out AC electrical works as well as PV-side installation
• Confident with fault-finding and maintaining operational PV systems
• Takes pride in quality, safety, and doing things properly
• Comfortable working on site and collaborating with subcontract teams
• Holds a full UK driving licence
• Fully eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions
• Field-based role with travel across England & Wales (overnight stays required at times)
• Company van, laptop, and mobile phone provided
