Job description

Senior Installation Electrician - Solar PV

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 base + bonus up to £8,500

Location: Regional office - Oxford

Imagine overseeing a high-volume residential solar and battery installation programme where every decision you make safeguards quality, compliance and customer delight. You're fuelled by the challenge of orchestrating complex schedules, resolving technical hurdles and building a delivery engine that scales from dozens of one-off jobs to a streamlined, repeatable operation. If you live and breathe solar PV and battery systems, this hands-on leadership role will let you shape how an ambitious renewable energy business delights homeowners at every install.

Why this role

As Installation Manager, you own the end-to-end delivery process for residential solar and battery projects. From the moment a contract lands on your desk, you'll approve the bill of materials, set provisional install dates, and marshal installers, scaffolding teams and logistics partners to deliver a seamless, professional experience. You'll turn handovers into flawless completions, ensuring each home receives a clean, compliant installation and a confident handover.

What you'll do

You will manage the full installation lifecycle: finalising bills of materials, raising purchase orders and coordinating weekly kit cadences so that parts and panels arrive precisely when needed. You'll maintain a deep technical understanding of system designs, confirming scoping against survey reports and digital proposals and swiftly resolve on-site challenges with installers and technical colleagues. As the customer’s primary contact throughout installation, you'll manage expectations, handle escalations proactively and complete the handover pack with MCS certification and commissioning records.

About the company

We are a UK-based renewable energy platform on a rapid growth trajectory, integrating regional installation teams into a single, digitally enabled group. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to smart solar energy by combining local expertise with national scale. Backed by experienced investors, we operate multiple subsidiaries and are committed to building a delivery function that is both high-quality and highly efficient.

About you

You are a fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition BS 7671 or equivalent) with proven experience managing residential field operations. Your strong organisation and communication skills enable you to juggle multiple projects without losing sight of technical details. You're a confident problem-solver who thrives under pressure and shares our passion for renewable energy. Experience with solar PV or battery installations, and a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor qualification, would be advantageous.

Rewards & growth

You’ll receive a competitive salary, an ambitious incentive scheme, and the chance to build a world-class installation operation from the ground up. With clear progression into regional or group-level leadership as volumes grow, this role offers genuine ownership and career advancement
