Job summary

Wise is expanding its MEA region and seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the regional expansion team. You will help build scalable onboarding and money movement capabilities by integrating with local partners and payment schemes.

You will design, implement, test and deploy backend services, collaborate with global teams, and help shape technical strategy for MEA while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features for onboarding and money movement in MEA
• Implement integrations with local banks, payment providers, and verification vendors
• Build and improve FinCrime controls across the region
• Propose scalable, reliable, compliant technical designs across markets
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain engineering standards
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineers across global offices
• Contribute to MEA technical strategy and roadmap
