Wise is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Send for Partners team, empowering banks and enterprises to leverage Wise's infrastructure for global payments.

You’ll guide architecture, mentor engineers, and work with product and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable systems powering Wise's payment network worldwide.

This leadership role combines hands-on coding when needed with strategic roadmapping and ensuring compliance and high-quality software.

Formación

• Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams and growing senior ICs.
• Technical leadership & system design expertise: scalable, distributed systems, event-based architectures and microservices.
• Product mindset - you think about customer impact, not just technical implementation.
• Leadership through empowerment with context, trust and clear direction.
• Following best coding practices, continuous delivery and code reviews.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams and stakeholders.
• Bias to action and comfort with ambiguity while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Experience with JVM platform (Java/Kotlin/Spring Boot).

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coach engineers, own hiring, mentoring and performance to grow technical capability and delivery impact.
• Translate product strategy into technical roadmaps that move KPIs.
• Guide architecture and technical design decisions, ensuring scalable systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support bank integrations and expand our payment network.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring and best practices.
• Be hands-on when needed and understand team systems deeply.
• Identify opportunities to improve the Send product with short-term delivery and long-term health.
• Share learnings and shape how we build software company-wide.
