Oxbow Talent is partnering with a successful US technology company as they begin building out their engineering function in Belfast. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys owning production systems and contributing to the growth of a small, autonomous team.

The role focuses on designing, building, testing and deploying software, developing large-scale data pipelines, and collaborating with Product, Data and other engineers to set technical direction.

Qualifications

• Backend software engineering experience required.
• Experience building data processing pipelines.
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with event-driven or distributed systems.
• Ability to own features end-to-end ownership.

Oxbow Talent is partnering with a successful US technology company as they begin building out their engineering function in Belfast.

The company has had an established presence locally for several years and is now investing significantly in growing its technical team here. This is an opportunity to join early and play a meaningful role in how that team develops.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys building and owning production systems rather than working within a heavily siloed environment.

The role:

• Design, build, test and deploy production software
• Build and maintain large-scale data processing pipelines
• Work across backend services and event-driven systems
• Take ownership of applications from development through to production
• Work closely with Product, Data and other engineering teams
• Contribute to technical decisions and engineering standards
• Build reliable, observable and well-tested systems

What we're looking for:

• Backend software engineering experience
• Experience building ETL or data processing pipelines
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with event-driven or distributed systems
• Airflow, Dagster, Argo Workflows or similar would be beneficial
• Comfortable taking genuine end-to-end ownership

You’ll be joining a small, highly autonomous engineering environment where engineers have significant responsibility for what they build and how it performs in production.

The hybrid model is genuinely flexible and the salary is very competitive for the Belfast market.
