Job summary

Oxbow Talent is partnering with a successful US technology company as they begin building out their engineering function in Belfast. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys owning production systems and contributing to the growth of a small, autonomous team.

The role focuses on designing, building, testing and deploying software, developing large-scale data pipelines, and collaborating with Product, Data and other engineers to set technical direction.

Qualifications

• Backend software engineering experience required.
• Experience building data processing pipelines.
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with event-driven or distributed systems.
• Ability to own features end-to-end ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and deploy production software.
• Build and maintain large-scale data processing pipelines.
• Work across backend services and event-driven systems.
• Take ownership of applications from development through production.
• Collaborate with Product, Data and other engineering teams.
• Contribute to technical decisions and engineering standards.
• Build reliable, observable and well-tested systems.
