Job summary

MCS Group is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Belfast with a hybrid work arrangement. You will join a high-performing engineering team building a greenfield platform and work across the full SDLC.

You will own design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable services, contribute to a modern microservices architecture, and gain exposure to AWS-native technologies while mentoring junior engineers and influencing architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full stack or front/back end software engineering experience with Typescript.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Solid backend development experience (Node.js) and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, Fargate) and event-driven systems.
• Strong database experience (SQL & NoSQL) and CI/CD practices.

The Role:

You'll take ownership of design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable services, driving engineering best practice and contributing to a modern microservices architecture. This role offers strong exposure to AWS-native technologies and the chance to work closely with senior technical stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• 4+ years experience in a full stack or front end / back end software engineering role with Typescript
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
• Solid backend development experience (Node.js)
• Experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, Fargate)
• Microservices, event-driven architecture & messaging systems
• Strong database experience (SQL & NoSQL)
• CI/CD, testing, and Agile delivery experience
