Job summary

TP ICAP in Belfast is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Fusion Platform team, partnering with AWS to build a globally accessible market infrastructure. You will own design, development, testing and deployment of services, collaborating with architects and leads to production readiness.

The role demands strong TypeScript frontend and backend skills, experience with microservices, REST/GraphQL, AWS, Terraform, and an agile cross-functional delivery mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrable industry experience as a Full Stack or Front/Backend Engineer in TypeScript.
• Strong front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3, React/Redux, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Websockets, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Back-end skills: TypeScript and/or other OOP languages; strong SQL/NoSQL knowledge; microservices architecture.
• Experience with Terraform, AWS (Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, AppSync), and Git.
• Experience in an Agile cross-functional delivery team and in building production-grade, low-latency services.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering improvements and communicate principles across the team.
• Lead SDLC activities including planning, estimation, and delivery alignment.
• Mentor juniors and participate in architectural discussions for broader systems.
• Refactor and evolve systems toward target state architecture and prioritise deliveries.
• Support production incidents to maintain operational stability.
