Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Fusion Platform on AWS

Job summary

TP ICAP in Belfast is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Fusion Platform team. You will own design, development, testing and deployment of services in a global market infrastructure project built with AWS and modern frontend/backend tech.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to an SDLC with planning, estimation and delivery, and collaborate with architects and leads to ensure production readiness and resilient services used across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Full Stack or Front/Backend engineering using TypeScript.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, React, Redux and ReactQuery.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL and Websockets.
• Experience with microservices architectures and Terraform.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway and AppSync.
• Knowledge of Agile, SDLC, and JIRA tooling.
• Strong problem-solving, testing and production deployment focus.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering improvements and explain principles to the team.
• Support defined SDLC for planning, prioritisation and delivery.
• Lead estimation discussions using prior experience and collaborative dialogue.
• Lead conversations on system architecture with engineers.
• Refactor and prioritise deliveries toward target state architecture.
