Job summary

Aioi R&D Lab – Oxford is seeking a senior hands-on software engineer to work across the Lab's project portfolio, including the Pricing Engine and other initiatives. You will build software and infrastructure that turns research into production-ready results, with opportunities to lead technically and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial software experience.
• A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with core stack, strong experience in at least two: Python, TypeScript, relational databases, APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, AWS.
• Strong DevOps skills: CI/CD, version control, containerisation, cloud deployment.
• Proven ability to work in a remote-first, iterative Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute directly to the development, testing, and maintenance of Lab projects, products, and initiatives.
• Build robust, maintainable software and infrastructure using the Lab's core stack.
• Lead technically and, where appropriate, take on line management responsibilities.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and engineering best practices.
