Job summary

Aioi R&D Lab – Oxford is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to translate research into robust, production‑ready ML services within a privacy‑sensitive, multi‑partner environment. You will set ML engineering and MLOps direction for CODAS workstreams and lead how research gets built, tested, and shipped.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in ML/AI or data-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ML engineering and MLOps direction for CODAS workstreams.
• Design, build, test, and maintain ML services, data pipelines, and deployment-ready applications.
• Translate research outputs into robust, maintainable systems beyond proofs of concept.
• Adapt AI/ML approaches for privacy-sensitive, security-conscious deployment contexts.
• Improve internal tooling, engineering standards, and reusable frameworks.
• Mentor ML engineers and researchers, communicating trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
