Job summary

RELX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Senior AI Engineer to join an embedded Innovation Squad in Greater London. You will tackle challenging research, design, and software development tasks, turning AI experiments into validated, reusable solutions.

With guidance from senior engineers, you will craft specifications, fix complex bugs, and promote coding best practices while mentoring juniors and partnering with host-function stakeholders to deliver practical, workflow-aligned software.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong programming with Python/Java and modern JS.
• Experience with AI-enabled or data-intensive systems.
• Cloud and container orchestration familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Build prototypes and production-ready AI-enabled software components.
• Design across multiple system parts and translate requirements.
• Implement CI/CD, testing, and code reviews with best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to squad delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with real workflows.
