Job summary

Raytheon UK in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Cyber software team on a permanent onsite basis. You will deliver critical software across multiple business areas, collaborating with stakeholders and engineers in a mature Agile environment.

Requirements include Java with Spring Boot, modern frontend frameworks, cloud platforms, Docker/Kubernetes, and IaC. Security clearance (eDV) is required and the role offers a broad benefits package and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Agile delivery team and delivering software end-to-end.
• Proficient in Java with Spring Boot and modern frontend frameworks.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and data technologies.

Role & Responsibilities

You’ll be part of our experienced Software Engineering function, working in a cross-functional team, delivering and deploying critical software across a variety of business areas.

Requirements/knowledge (you don't need everything)

• Experience working in an Agile delivery team
• Java development with Spring Boot
• Front‑end development using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue)
• Building enterprise‑grade web applications or backend services
• Cloud & DevOps
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or equivalent)
• Data & Integration
• Working with SQL and NoSQL data stores
• Familiarity with structured and unstructured data concepts
• Messaging / streaming systems (Kafka, AWS SQS, or other cloud-native queuing services)
• Experience with data visualisation tools or techniques
