Job summary

An east Midlands social services agency is seeking a Senior Social Worker to provide high-quality practice within the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children service. Candidates need at least 2 years’ experience, a Social Work England registration, and strong safeguarding knowledge. Responsibilities include assessments and working collaboratively with agencies to support the wellbeing of vulnerable young people. This role is 36.5 hours a week and offers competitive pay rates.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Experience supporting children and young people, ideally within UASC services.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective social work practice within the UASC service.
  • Undertake assessments, care planning, and reviews.
  • Provide safeguarding oversight.
