Senior Social Worker - Adoption Recruitment and Assessment

Join us at Birmingham Children’s Trust as a Senior Social Worker - Adoption Recruitment and Assessment.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to undertake recruitment activities, conduct adoption assessments, and provide support to prospective adoptive families. You will also have opportunities to co-deliver initiatives promoting therapeutic parenting skills, Stay and Play sessions, and themed workshops in partnership with adopter co-trainers.

About You
  • Approved social work qualification
  • At least 3 years post-qualification experience in childcare social work
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and their families, with effective partnership working
  • Resilient under pressure with thorough knowledge of professional social work practices and legislation
  • Committed to professional development and aligned with Birmingham Children’s Trust values
