Join a dedicated team as a Consultant Social Worker in the Children with Disabilities Team. You'll support children and families with complex needs, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment. This role emphasizes building strong relationships and enhancing life experiences for children and young people.
About the Team:
The Children with Disabilities Team is a county wide team comprising of both Social Workers and Family Support Workers. The team is structured into specialised hubs.
This position will be based within the Children with Disabilities Assessment Hub, which progresses 10 Day Family Help Assessments and identify the needs and outcomes for Children and Young people. The Consultant Social Worker will help to provide social work oversight within this team, supporting and advising specialist qualified staff, liaising with the social work teams and undertaking consultations.
The Children with Disabilities Team offers support to children and young people, 0 - 18 years, with complex additional needs, their siblings, and parent/carers. We deliver services to enhance the life experiences and improve outcomes for children and young people with a disability. We focus on the strengths/abilities of children and their families to enable children and their family members to achieve the aspirations and their identified outcomes, meet their full potential, and maximise their independence.

This role requires employees to undergo Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV). This process ensures that individuals who are not police staff but have physical or remote access to police premises, information, intelligence, financial, or operational assets are assessed for their reliability and integrity. This assessment determines their suitability for clearance to work within police premises.
