Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering.
Deep proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, and security.
Fluency in Java, Python, or Go.
Observability expertise with Grafana/Prometheus/Datadog/Elasticsearch.
CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform.
Experience with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

Responsibilities

Champions site reliability culture and influences across the team.
Leads initiatives to improve reliability and stability using data-driven analytics.
Collaborates to define service level indicators and objectives with stakeholders.
Acts as a technical lead for medium to large-sized products and mentors engineers.
Leads incident response, diagnosing issues quickly to avoid losses.
Design, implement, and maintain OpenTelemetry pipelines on hybrid environments.
Support telemetry ingestion and export to backends like InfluxDB, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch.
Refactor legacy telemetry to OpenTelemetry instrumentation while preserving stability.
