Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead a short-term project in Llanelli for a Tier 1 contractor. The assignment centers on closing out snagging and defects on a college project, while coordinating with the supply chain to complete works to the required standard.

This hands-on role requires strong organisation, proactive problem solving, and the ability to manage subcontractors and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Site Manager on construction projects.
• Strong snagging, defects and close-out experience.
• Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Good IT skills and ability to maintain records.
• Strong communication with subcontractors and supply chain.
• Practical, proactive problem solving approach.
• SMSTS and CSCS qualifications.
• Solid understanding of health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the close-out of outstanding snags and defects.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and the wider supply chain to resolve defects promptly.
• Maintain and update spreadsheets/records detailing completed and outstanding defects.
• Coordinate labour, materials and access with the supply chain.
• Monitor progress ensuring works are completed safely to standard.
• Provide regular progress updates to the project team.
• Assist with coordinating planned night works during October.
• Ensure works meet health & safety requirements and project procedures.
