Job summary

Gleeson Homes is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a high-volume on-site construction team for affordable housing developments. You will manage labour-only groundworkers/contractors, coordinate with NHBC and local authorities, and ensure safety and quality while delivering on schedule.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, excellent programme management, and strong commercial awareness. Proficiency with Zutec and digital plotting tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager on high-volume new build housing developments.
• Extensive knowledge of managing labour-only groundworkers/contractors.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent knowledge of construction build programmes.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes.
• Experience meeting customer service requirements.
• Familiarity with NHBC and Building Regs.
• Able to use Zutec and Digital plot books.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development to deliver build programme on time and within budget.
• Direct site staff and subcontractors including labour-only groundworkers.
• Liaise with head office, NHBC, and local authorities.
• Order materials to keep the build programme on track.
• Ensure NHBC inspections are completed as required.
• Carry out handover inspections with customers per care procedures.
• Address customer care defects with the customer care team.
• Promote safety, progress, quality, and innovation on site.
