Job summary

Barratt Redrow PLC is seeking a proactive Site Manager to lead on-site construction across developments in East Scotland. You’ll manage safety, quality, cost and programme delivery, coordinating labour, trades and materials while maintaining customer care standards.

You will report to the Contracts Manager, demonstrate leadership, health & safety excellence, and a strong track record of delivering multiple plots on time and to NHBC standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience of working to an established build programme and managing key priorities.
• Proven ability to deliver weekly targets through effective labour organisation.
• Excellent communicator with ability to gain full compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership and assertive skills for optimum site delivery.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs and solve problems.
• Member of CIOB and/or NVQ Level 5 in Construction Management or time‑served tradesman with broad experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site construction to NHBC standards, Building Regulations and quality targets.
• Coordinate labour and resources to deliver the build programme and schedule trades.
• Ensure plots meet high quality standards and rectify defects promptly to avoid delays.
• Monitor production costs and approve payments to contractors and trades where appropriate.
• Lead plot inspections with Local Building Inspector or NHBC and address issues.
• Conduct toolbox talks and site briefings; maintain safe, efficient site operations.
• Collaborate with internal departments, suppliers and sales to ensure smooth delivery of homes.
• Ensure high standards of site presentation and customer handover readiness.
