Job description

Reginald Gray is partnering with a market-leading client to recruit a Senior Site Manager for a prestigious, one-off project in Surrey. This is a rare opportunity to be part of the delivery team on the refurbishment and restoration of an exceptional private property, with a build value of circa 80 million.

You will work alongside other Senior Site Managers, each responsible for their own section of the project, supported by around four direct reports (Site Managers and Assistant Site Managers). This role is integral to the successful delivery of the scheme, requiring strong organisational skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to lead teams effectively within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site operations within your section of the project.
  • Lead and support a team of Site Managers and Assistants, ensuring effective coordination.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Work closely with fellow Senior Site Managers, consultants, and client representatives to achieve project goals.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring quality and programme requirements are met.
  • Contribute to progress reporting, meetings, and problem-solving across your area of responsibility.
  • Uphold the highest standards of workmanship and attention to detail expected on a high-end private project.
Essential Requirements
  • Experience as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale projects within residential, refurbishment, or restoration.
  • Background in managing and developing teams of Site Managers or Assistant Site Managers.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK construction practices, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Track record of contributing to the delivery of projects valued at 10m+.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
  • Previous involvement in heritage or luxury residential schemes.
  • Professional membership or chartered status (CIOB, RICS).

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the most significant private property projects in the region, working with a high-profile client and a strong on-site team.
