OCU Group in Ruislip is seeking a Senior SHEQ Advisor to lead safety, health, environmental and quality performance across live power projects. You will influence safety culture and drive compliance with UK legislation.

You’ll coach site teams, conduct inspections and investigations, and mentor supervisors to ensure best practice. The role spans DNO/IDNO frameworks with a focus on proactive risk management and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Senior SHEQ Advisor within utilities, construction or civil engineering environments
• Strong experience working on power or electrical infrastructure projects
• In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
• Experience supporting incident investigation, reporting and root cause analysis
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
• Full UK driving licence

Responsabilidades

• You’ll act as a trusted SHEQ partner to operational teams across a range of power and electrical projects, providing practical guidance and support to ensure safe and compliant delivery.
• You’ll carry out site inspections, audits and investigations to ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements and UK legislation.
• A key part of your role will involve supporting the reporting and investigation of incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and root cause analysis while driving improvements across operational delivery.
• As a senior member of the SHEQ team, you’ll provide coaching and mentoring to operational teams and supervisors, helping to build capability and ensure best practice is applied consistently across projects.
• You’ll work across live environments, including DNO and IDNO frameworks, supporting teams in maintaining safe and effective working practices.
• You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the development of systems, processes and performance across the wider business while ensuring safety remains at the centre of all project delivery.
