Birmingham City Council is seeking an experienced Sheltered Housing Officer to deliver a dedicated housing management service to older and vulnerable residents living in sheltered housing schemes. You’ll manage tenancies from new lettings through to termination, support residents to sustain their homes, and help ensure schemes remain safe, secure and well maintained.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in housing management and tenancy processes.
• Experience with older people and safeguarding in a community setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements and associated policies.
• Understanding of telecare and assistive technology for independent living.

Aufgaben

• Manage tenancy management within sheltered housing from start to termination.
• Conduct tenancy visits, assess property conditions and support sustainment.
• Respond to anti-social behaviour and neighbourhood issues per council procedures.
• Collaborate with housing teams to manage voids, lettings and property upkeep.
• Support residents with rent and service charge payments and referrals.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing; coordinate safeguarding with partners.
• Build relationships with residents and stakeholders; monitor performance.
