Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead development, customization, and enhancements of the ServiceNow platform for public sector and defence clients. The role requires hands-on expertise, strong JavaScript skills, and a track record delivering enterprise ServiceNow solutions.

You will work with IBM teams to architect scalable integrations, reports, dashboards, and workflows, while following security and governance standards for sensitive environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience in ServiceNow development.
• Deep knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including JavaScript and UI development.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• ServiceNow CIS or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and customization of complex ServiceNow applications and modules based on evolving business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within IBM and public sector or defence environments to architect scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Build, refine, and maintain reports, dashboards, workflows, and automated processes within the platform.
• Design and support robust integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using APIs and web services.
• Ensure development aligns with ServiceNow best practices, governance, coding standards, and security requirements for government work.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and support.
