Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Lead Engineer (Service Engineering) at Rugby or Swansea to lead a team of Lead Engineers and set the technical direction for the Service Engineering function.

You will ensure delivery across a complex portfolio of upgrades and retrofits in marine, energy, and industrial sectors globally. You will translate customer requirements into technically sound and commercially viable service solutions, mentor engineers, and drive improvements while coordinating

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in power engineering, electrical drive systems, and grid-connected systems.
• Experience leading engineering teams and developing engineers.
• Strong customer-facing technical communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Lead Engineers with performance management and mentoring.
• Set technical standards for Service Engineering ensuring compliance with quality frameworks and marine rules.
• Oversee service project delivery across commissioning, field service, upgrades and retrofits.
• Act as senior customer-facing technical authority translating requirements into service solutions.
• Provide specialist guidance on marine PMS, DP control systems, and shipboard automation.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives across the lead engineer population.
