Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Service Engineering Manager for the Rugby (UK) site to lead a multidisciplinary team across service, field, and project delivery environments. You will set technical standards, drive accountability, and ensure high-quality service solutions for industrial and marine sectors globally.

You will influence engineering leadership, manage budgets and risks, and collaborate with project managers, vessel operators, and partners to deliver complex upgrade and retrofit

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Significant experience in people management or senior leadership roles in engineering.
• Substantial experience in service or field engineering leadership within power conversion, energy, maritime, or industrial sectors.
• Solid expertise in power engineering, electrical drive systems, and grid-connected systems (LV/MV).
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and timescales across a complex service portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Lead Engineer population with day-to-day direction, performance management, mentoring, and professional development.
• Set technical vision and standards for the Service Engineering function, ensuring compliance with quality frameworks and regulatory rules.
• Own service project delivery across commissioning, field service, upgrades, and retrofits, meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
• Act as senior customer-facing technical authority, translating customer needs into viable service solutions with stakeholders.
• Provide specialist guidance on PMS, DP control systems, and shipboard automation architectures.
• Drive cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives across teams and drive measurable value.
