Job summary

UK Home Office is seeking a senior service designer to support and protect communities by delivering better services. You will work in an agile, multidisciplinary team within the Digital Corporate Enablement Office, shaping digital services and platforms for colleagues across the organisation.

Projects include building digital products that support HR, Finance, Estates, and Communications, plus improving internal tools and GOV.UK content.

Qualifications

• Leads service design for complex projects, coordinating front-stage and back-stage elements.
• Mentors junior team members in service design methods.
• Prototyping and concept creation using advanced techniques and guidance to juniors.
• Regularly applies accessibility standards to deliver inclusive design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead service design efforts for complex projects, coordinating people, processes and tech.
• Mentor junior team members in service design methods and practices.
• Oversee prototyping and concept creation for high-impact initiatives.
• Engage with stakeholders to defend UCD principles and tailor communications.
