Job summary

Veolia in Hinckley is seeking a Senior Service Coordinator to lead day-to-day service delivery in waste/transport operations. You’ll allocate work to vehicles and routes, keep customers updated, and support drivers with issue resolution.

You will report safety concerns, ensure compliance with WTD and on-site transport rules, drive KPI improvements, and act as line manager for drivers and service coordinators. A UK driving licence and supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Essential: Good communication with people at all levels (drivers, frontline staff and customers).
• Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace.
• UK driving licence is required for on-site responsibilities.
• Previous experience in waste/transport/logistics at supervisory level.
• Understanding of transport compliance and WTD (Working Time Directive) benefits.
• Experience coordinating service delivery in a similar sector is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of service delivery, allocating work to vehicles/routes.
• Communicating with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and driver liaison.
• Complete debriefs with front-line staff and report actions or updates.
• Face-to-face engagement with drivers to address issues on routes.
• Report safety concerns or container damage and encourage safe work practices.
• Support Operations Manager with on-site compliance (WTD, O-Licence and transport rules).
• Drive continuous improvement on KPI performance.
• Direct reporting line for all drivers and service coordinators.
