Job summary

Veolia in Hinckley is seeking an on-site supervisory role to oversee daily service delivery and route allocations. You will communicate with drivers and customers, manage debriefs and report actions to improve KPIs, while ensuring safety and compliance with transport regulations.

The role requires experience in waste/transport logistics at supervisory level, strong communication, and a valid UK driving licence. A supportive environment offers development, pension and generous leave.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of service delivery and routing allocation.
• Communicate status updates with customers and drivers.

• Face-to-face support with drivers for route issues.
• Report safety concerns or damage and stop the job if unsafe.
• Assist Operations Manager with on-site regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement on KPI performance.
• Direct reporting line for drivers and service coordinators.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week 8:30am - 5pm / Flexible

What you'll be doing;

• Day-to-day management of service delivery, including the dynamic allocation of work to vehicles/routes
• Communicating with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and maintaining contact with drivers
• Managing completion of all debriefs with front-line staff and reporting necessary actions or updates as required
• Face-to-face engagement with drivers, supporting them to address any issues on the route
• Reporting of all safety concerns or container damage and encouraging 'stop the job' if it is deemed unsafe to continue
• Supporting Operations Manager with Veolia legal compliance on-site (WTD, O'licence and transport compliance)
• Responsible for driving continuous improvement on KPI performance.
• Being responsible for direct reporting line for all drivers and Service Coordinators

What we're looking for;

• Good communication skills, including communicating with people of all levels, including drivers, frontline employees and customers
• Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace
• UK Driving licence
• Previous experience operating within a similar industry, waste/transport/logistics at a Supervisory level
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of transport compliance and WTD
