Job summary

Veolia ES (UK) in Hinckley is seeking a Senior Service Coordinator to oversee daily service delivery, coordinate driver routes, and maintain strong customer and stakeholder communication. The role includes ensuring safety, compliance, and continuous KPI improvement.

You will lead frontline staff, report on progress, and support the Operations Manager with on-site regulatory compliance. This position offers a competitive salary, a performance bonus, and Veolia benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to organise a busy workload at pace.
• UK Driving Licence holder.
• Experience in waste/transport/logistics at supervisory level.
• Understanding of transport compliance and Working Time Directive (WTD).

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of service delivery, including dynamic allocation of work to vehicles/routes.
• Communicating with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and maintaining contact with drivers.
• Managing completion of all debriefs with front-line staff and reporting necessary actions or updates.
• Face-to-face engagement with drivers, supporting them to address any issues on the route.
• Reporting of safety concerns or container damage and encouraging 'stop the job' if it is deemed unsafe to continue.
• Supporting Operations Manager with Veolia legal compliance on-site (WTD, O'licence and transport compliance).
• Responsible for driving continuous improvement on KPI performance.
• Being responsible for direct reporting line for all drivers and Service Coordinators

What we're looking for;

• Good communication skills, including communicating with people of all levels, including drivers, frontline employees and customers
• Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace
• UK Driving licence
• Previous experience operating within a similar industry, waste/transport/logistics at a Supervisory level
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of transport compliance and WTD
