Job summary

Chichester College Group is seeking a Senior Learning Support Assistant to lead and develop a dedicated Learning Support team and to provide high-level support to learners with SEND to help them achieve their programme of study.

You will work with the ALS Team Leader to coordinate and quality assure LSA and Learning Support provision, support 16–18 year olds, and contribute to improving attendance and achievement across courses. Hybrid working is available during holiday periods.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting 16-18 year olds.
• Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015).
• Time management, organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide learners with a high level of learning support needed to achieve their programme of study.
• Focus on and take an active role in the achievement of high individual learner attendance and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
• Support the ALS Team Leader in the co-ordination and quality of the LSA provision and Learning Support provision.
