Job summary

London South East Colleges (LSEC) is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to help learners with SEND access courses, services and activities at our London campuses. You will support learning outcomes, promote independence and work with staff to ensure inclusive teaching and safeguarding best practices.

The role involves person-centered support, potentially including personal care and mobility assistance, with a focus on dignity and respect for diverse needs within a busy FE environment.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience of working in a multicultural community and safeguarding understanding.
• Ability to support learners with personal care and mobility needs with sensitivity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality learning and accessibility support to learners with SEND.
• Help learners access College services and engage with activities.
• Support development of learning/study skills and outcomes identified in EHCPs.
