Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting for a SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a mainstream primary school in Birmingham. The HLTA will support pupils in the SEND Hub during the morning and provide 1:1 support in the afternoon to help them reintegrate into mainstream classes.

The successful candidate should have experience with SEND in a primary setting, ideally HLTA status or substantial advanced TA experience, and be confident with small-group and 1:1 interventions, promoting

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting.
• Ability to support small groups and provide 1:1 interventions.
• Strong understanding of SEND and how it impacts learning and behavior.

Responsibilities

• Support a small group of five pupils in the morning within the SEND Hub.
• Provide 1:1 support to pupils reintegrating into mainstream classes in the afternoon.
• Maintain consistent boundaries and promote independence and inclusion.
