Job summary

Smart Teachers is recruiting for an experienced SENCO at a prominent North London secondary school. The role focuses on leading the strategic development of SEND provision, working with senior leaders, teachers and external agencies to ensure high-quality, inclusive education for all students.

The SENCO will oversee identification, assessment and monitoring of students with additional needs, ensuring statutory duties are met and fostering an inclusive school culture.

Qualifications

• QTS and NASENCO or willingness to complete within timeframe.
• Experience supporting students with wide range of SEN in secondary setting.
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and legislation.
• Experience leading whole-school SEND provision.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic development of SEND provision across the school.
• Oversee identification, assessment and monitoring of students with additional needs.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Ensure statutory responsibilities are met and promote inclusive education.
