Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd on behalf of an outstanding secondary school in Redbridge, Outer London, seeks a qualified SENCO from January 2027. The role leads SEND provision and manages EHCPs, with a teaching timetable in place to continue classroom impact.

You will be an NASENCO holder with QTS and a track record in secondary education, contributing to inclusion, outcomes, and staff development within a high-achievement environment.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Hold a recognised secondary teaching qualification.
• Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO).
• Have successful teaching experience within a secondary school setting.
• Possess a strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice.
• Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Have a passion for inclusive education and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing the school's SEND strategy and provision.
• Managing EHCPs, annual reviews and SEND support plans.
• Monitoring progress and outcomes for students with SEND.
• Working closely with parents, carers and external agencies.
• Supporting, training and developing teaching and support staff.
• Ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements.
• Line managing SEND support staff and intervention programmes.
• Contributing to whole-school inclusion and pastoral initiatives.
• Analysing data to identify trends and improve student outcomes.
• Maintaining a teaching timetable while leading SEND provision.
