Evotec is seeking an experienced Senior Scientist 1 to join the Protein Sciences team at Alderley Park. You will lead biologics discovery and engineering strategies across internal and client projects, designing and developing therapeutic antibodies and complex biologics.

You will optimize expression and purification workflows, drive data-driven decisions, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Protein Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Immunology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial and/or postdoctoral experience in antibody discovery, engineering, or biologics development.
• Extensive hands-on experience designing and developing therapeutic antibodies and complex biologics.
• Strong expertise in recombinant biologics expression and purification technologies.
• Experience leading projects and collaborating within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and execution of biologics discovery and engineering across client and internal projects.
• Design, engineer, express, purify, and characterize monoclonal and bispecific antibodies and other biologics.
• Develop and optimize expression systems and purification workflows for high-quality proteins.
• Drive experimental design and data-driven decision making.
• Identify innovative approaches to improve workflows and outcomes.
• Act as biologics scientific lead, coordinating cross-functional activities and milestones.
• Present findings to internal and external stakeholders with clear recommendations.
• Contribute to publications, conferences, and external collaborations.
• Mentor junior scientists and support technical capability development.
