Job summary

Taylorollinson Ltd is recruiting a Senior Antibody Engineer to drive lead optimisation for therapeutic antibodies and related biologics. The role emphasizes in silico design strategies, project leadership, and potential line management across multiple client-facing studies.

Candidates should have a PhD in a biological field with post‑doctoral experience in antibody engineering, plus strong in silico analysis skills. The position is UK-based with competitive salary and pension benefits.

Qualifications

PhD in a biological discipline, MSc, BSc or equivalent (essential).
Several years of post‑doctoral / post‑graduate experience specifically in lead optimisation stages for antibodies (essential – straight PhD studies will be considered if their doctoral research is in this area).
In silico experience for structural and genetic analysis (essential).
Proven experience in leading complex scientific projects (essential).
Prior line management experience of junior scientists (desired).
Prior experience in working on client‑facing projects (desired).
Experience in antibody expression and purification (desired).
Right to work in the UK without need for visa sponsorship now or in the future (essential).

Responsibilities

Lead therapeutic antibody and potentially other biologics lead optimisation projects.
Lead antibody and biologics design focused on affinity maturation, humanisation and manufacturing feasibility, mainly using in silico approaches.
Optionally lead a small team of scientists (2–4) depending on seniority.
Manage projects from start to completion, providing regular data and progress updates to clients and stakeholders via presentations and meetings.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
