Job summary

Evotec, located at Alderley Park, is seeking an experienced Senior Scientist (Expression) to lead recombinant protein expression efforts within the Protein Sciences Team. The role focuses on designing and executing work plans for early drug discovery projects, overseeing results, and delivering high-quality protein reagents for internal and external customers.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent, possess extensive insect cell expression experience (BEVS, Drosophila S2), and

Qualifications

• PhD or degree with relevant industry experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of recombinant protein expression and biochemistry.
• Experience with insect cell systems BEVS and Drosophila S2.

Responsibilities

• Design and execution of agreed work plans for early drug discovery projects.
• Support more than one project and may direct internal resources.
• Provide oversight of results to ensure quality to project specifications.
• Design experiments, review documentation and client presentations.
• Lead data analysis ahead of product releases to customers.
• Develop and troubleshoot expression strategies for challenging targets.
