Job summary

Jonathan Lee Group seeks a Senior Sales Engineer to drive new sales for fixturing, tooling and prototypes in Birmingham. The role sits hybrid, reporting to the Sales Director and collaborating with manufacturing/engineering teams to win bespoke, high-precision projects.

You will nurture customer relations, negotiate terms, and present engineering solutions to clients across automotive and motorsport sectors. Travel to customer sites and shows may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience strengthening business relations with customers and industry.
• Experience negotiating with customers and suppliers, with excellent influencing and communication skills.
• Ideally degree or minimum HND qualified in engineering.
• Ability to discuss and provide engineering solutions with customers - engineer to engineer.
• Significant exposure to technical selling of engineered solutions within robotics, automation, fixturing.
• Experience in manufacturing with knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly, welding.

Responsibilities

• New sales growth through existing knowledge and proactive sales approach.
• Support estimating and bid process with engineering and operations teams.
• Manage commercial discussions and secure new work.
• Manage clients to support future sales growth opportunities.
• Represent the company at trade shows to develop further relationships.
• Act as the focal point for internal and customer queries and maintain commercial processes.
