Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.

You will decide when to dispatch internal technicians or third-party providers and work to minimize downtime for Ryder lease or contract vehicles. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues over the phone, mentor Tier 1 staff, and collaborate with the maintenance team to share OEM information and training materials.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• 5+ years in Ryder Operations shop environment preferred.
• 2+ years in Ryder operations customer exposure preferred.
• 4+ years in transportation maintenance required.
• 2+ years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure related to most major vehicle/engines in Ryder fleet required

Responsibilities

• Assess, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy.
• Assist with follow ups, escalations, service provider interactions; provide summaries to maintenance team.
• Provide updated technical knowledge to maintenance team, including OEM information and training materials.
• Mentor Tier 1 call center; provide status updates and training.
